Lydeard Farm Bush Camp & Lodges is committed to protecting your privacy and this Privacy Policy sets out the nature of the information we collect, how we collect it, and what happens to it. Please also view our booking Terms & Conditions that will be issued prior to booking. 

 

Once you choose to provide us with any information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

Your Data

​When making an enquiry prior to to any booking If you ring, email, use a contact form or live chat on the website, message via Facebook the following information is collected, as a minimum:

· name;

· contact details, including email and phone number;

· number of guests;

· dates of stay

· nature of enquiry.

 

This information is used to resolve the enquiry, and be able to provide you with further information. 

The information is also used in case there is a complaint or claim about your stay. The information will also be used to enable us to learn and continually improve the quality of the service or products we provide.

 

The legitimate Interests of Lydeard Farm Bush Camp & Lodges to provide customer service and provide you with an appropriate response to your query. We may also use this information in order to exercise and defend our legal rights 

 

If you choose to make a booking through us we will collect details that you provide in relation to that booking. This means facts such as your name, contact details and special needs/disabilities that you supply us or is supplied to us, including any information about other persons on your booking (“your information”). Your information is collected when you request information from us, contact us (and vice versa) or make a booking with us. You are responsible for ensuring that other members of your party are aware of the content of our Privacy Policy and consent to your acting on their behalf in all your dealings with us. We will update your information as appropriate in order to ensure it is up-to-date and fully accurate.

 

We will need the following information as a minimum:

· your name;

· email address;

· postal address;

· telephone number;

· names of other party members 

· arrival and departure dates;

· number of guests

We use the information submitted to handle booking requests, deliver products and services (i.e. booking confirmation), communicate with you about your  booking, services, update our records and generally maintain your details.

 

All of the information we request from you is needed in order to book and provide your break. We cannot provide your stay without it and it is needed for us to complete the performance of your booking contract. 

 

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online and throughout communication between us.

How long do we keep your information?

We only hold your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide services to you unless there is a requirement to hold that information for a longer period – for example our insurers require us to hold certain information for certain periods of time, or we may have been subject to a statutory obligation to keep hold of your information.

If there is a possibility that you may have a legal claim against us, for example if you have had an accident, or have made a complaint, then we will hold your information for the duration of any statutory limitation period associated with such legal claims.

 

Third Parties

We will not pass your details onto to third parties without your consent and this will only be with reference to your booking such as for example an activity provider or caterer. In some circumstances, we may have to disclose your personal information by law, because a court or the police or other law enforcement agency has requested it using the appropriate channels.

We may however receive your details from a third party who we partner with that you may have chosen to enquire or book with. You are advised to make yourself aware if their own privacy policy. 

 

Use of Cookies

If our contact and dealing with you is via our website(s), we may use “cookies” allowing us to identify your computer but not you personally. A cookie is a piece of text which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Your browser adds that text in a small file. We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

 

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 unless for legal reasons (see below).

In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

For group residentials we may collate information regarding allergies for the catering service in this element the child's name and relevant allergen will be recorded and passed to the caterer in order to accommodate this. If a child has an accident during their stay then an accident form will be completed by the booking organiser. A copy of which may be taken by the organiser for their records and may be available to the parent/ guardian on request. For legal reasons a copy will be held securely by Lydeard Farm Bush Camp & Lodges. 

 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
